Our Values
In 1967 Mr Frank Borchard commenced legal practice as a sole practitioner transferring his skills from the Police force to the law. By 1973, Mr Borchard partnered up with successful barrister, Mr Bernard J Moore and the firm Borchard and Moore was formed.
Borchard and Moore continued to evolve under this partnership for the next 33 years until Mr Borchard’s retirement in 2006. Thereafter Mr Adrian J Triaca filled the role as Mr Moore’s partner, for the next six years.
In 2012, Mr Triaca stepped aside for four-year employee, Mr Matthew P Phaedonos to become partners alongside Mr Moore and together they expanded the services of the firm to the wider community of Melbourne. Since July 2020, upon the retirement of Mr Moore, Mr Phaedonos has continued to lead Borchard and Moore with a team of lawyers, clerks and support staff dedicated to achieving outcomes for all clients.
In 2014 Mr Triaca approached Mr Phaedonos, about purchasing a successful firm in Mornington, namely O’Neill Behan & Associates run by sole principal, Mr Colin Edward O’Neill. By 2016, Mr Triaca retired from the law, and O’Neill Behan & Associates was transformed into the current day, Phaedonos Law.
